About The Event

  • This course offers some of the most in-depth learning available to you from the UK pet first-aid market
    • Topics covered differ greatly from the original course we offer.  Please be aware that our original course is also very in-depth and beyond 'basic', so we do recommend that you complete that one first 
    • The course is for those who wish to extend their learning further and is recommended for those applying to vet school
    • Audiovisual learning aids used along with hands on practicals
    • Topic areas covered include:  Recap of the TPR, ocular problems, cataracts versus nuclear sclerosis, common aural issues, practical urine testing and what it indicates (renal/diabetes/infection covered), heart disease know the score, perfect your CPR, seizures v vestibular attack v syncope, wound management, skin and parasitic conditions, water sources and their dangers, oral and nasal problems, faeces and what a change could mean, seasonal canine illness, musculoskeletal problems (cruciate disease, patella luxation, hip dysplasia), practical anatomy, clinical examination. Group first-aid scenario and clinical signs discussion, parasites quiz and much more!
